Safe Food Handlers Training

Algoma Public Health encourages all individuals who prepare and serve food to the public receive food handler training. Food handler courses are offered regularly throughout the year by APH.

The course is designed to teach food handler's the basic principles of safe food handling. Students will learn about hand washing, how to safely prepare, cook, cool and store foods.  The course will touch on all the key principles required for working in a restaurant or any other food premises inspected under the Ontario Food Premises Regulation.

Cost:  $35.00 which includes a digital probe thermometer, food safety course manual and exam/certificate.
