We welcome media inquiries on public health issues. We are committed to providing accurate and timely information. Information is provided to the media in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Algoma Public Health policies.

Public health emergencies

Examples of public health emergencies:

 

• Hazardous material spill
• Human health emergencies like an outbreak or pandemic
• Healthcare practitioners reporting of reportable diseases or potential rabies exposure

Our on call answering service will determine if this is a public health emergency that needs immediate follow up and will NOT relay after hours messages for routine enquires. You will need to call back during regular hours.
