Be fully vaccinated by the start of the new school year

Thu, Jul 22, 2021

With only 6 weeks left until the start of the new school year, now is the time to put immunization against COVID-19 at the top of your summer to-do list.

Parents, teachers and students aged 12 and up who still need their first dose of vaccine still have time to get their 1st and 2nd dose and be fully immunized before the start of the school year.  You need to wait 28 days between your 1st and 2nd dose.

Students attending college or university in the fall should also check if their post-secondary institutions have any immunization policies or requirements.

Over 10,000 new appointments have now been added to clinics at the GFL Memorial Gardens throughout the month of August.  These clinics are for 1st or 2nd dose appointments.

To make an appointment and to see the full list of clinic dates, visit our booking site or call 705-541-7370 or Toll Free 1-888-440-3730.

A reminder that if you received your first dose at the GFL Memorial Gardens after May 1, we will no longer be sending emails or calling you directly to book your 2nd dose appointment. With a healthy inventory of vaccine, you can now book into one of the clinics being added in July and August. You do not need to wait for a specific appointment.
