We welcome media inquiries on public health issues. We are committed to providing accurate and timely information. Information is provided to the media in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Algoma Public Health policies.

Public health emergencies
Examples of public health emergencies:
- Hazardous material spill
- Human health emergencies like an outbreak or pandemic
- Healthcare practitioners reporting of reportable diseases or potential rabies exposure
Our on call answering service will determine if this is a public health emergency that needs immediate follow up and will NOT relay after hours messages for routine enquires. You will need to call back during regular hours.

Please send any questions, comments or concerns to the attention of the Board for Algoma Public Health. Municipal communication that is to be directed to the attention of the Board itself should be sent to the Board’s secretary, Tania Caputo at 705-759-5421 or TCaputo@algomapublichealth.com.
Any written or electronic communication should be addressed to the “Board of Algoma Public Health (APH)” or “Board Chair of APH” to ensure it is properly forwarded. Electronic notification that the communication has been received will be sent from APH. Our Board meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month and communication related to Board business that has been received by the third Wednesday would be included on the agenda.
