The Sault College Public Relations and Event Management program (PEM) in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie and Area presents:

The Great Gingerbread Block Build

When:       Saturday, December 7th

Time:         10 am - 2 pm

Where:      Rome's (upstairs)

Cost:          $25 per team member

Background:

The PEM students will host "The Great Gingerbread Block Build". This will be a team-based contest with a goal of raising funds and awareness for Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie and Area.

The competition will be based on a time limit of 2 hours and there will be many opportunities to sabotage opponents or purchase items that will help your team stand out. A designated building inspector will monitor what teams do and assign different challenges throughout the competition. The winning house will be decided by a panel of judges. There will be other opportunities for prizes, such as a peoples choice award for the best gingerbread house and a prize for the team that raises the most money.

We are seeking monetary and in-kind donations and sponsorship for the event with all process going directly to Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie and Area.

Building a team

We are inviting you to create a team! Each team will consist of 4-5 members with a registration fee of $25 per team member. Teams and gingerbread houses will be judged based on a number of factors; we encourage you to be creative and get into the festive spirit!
