Sun, Aug 15, 2021
Algoma Public Health is advising the public of a low-risk exposure to COVID-19 for anyone who attended a wedding reception event on August 7, 2021, from 3:00 pm to midnight, at 546 Plummer Rd, Bruce Mines, ON.
Attendees considered high-risk close contacts have already been directly notified.
All other attendees are considered to have low-risk exposure and are asked to:
- Self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for 10 days from potential exposure.
- Self-isolate immediately if symptoms develop.
- Seek testing if symptoms occur.
Get vaccinated
Being fully immunized with two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination provides the best protection against COVID-19 and its variants. With the Delta variant being the most dominant strain of COVID-19 in Ontario, as well as more dangerous and easily transmissible, there has never been a more important time to get fully vaccinated to protect yourself and our community.
The vaccine is available at pop-up clinics, pharmacies, and primary care providers throughout Algoma. Find a clinic near you.
