Algoma Public Health is reporting fourteen (14) new cases of COVID-19 (#1,371 - #1,384) and a low-risk public exposure

We are reporting fourteen (14) new cases of COVID-19 (#1,371 - #1,384):

 

• 13 - Sault Ste. Marie & Area
• 1 - Elliot Lake & Area

 

The newly reported cases acquired their infection as follows:

• 7 - close contact of confirmed case
  
• 2 - unknown source of infection
• 1 - international travel
• 4 - under investigation

There are currently 257 active cases.

Actions to take:

 

Any individual who was present on the date and times listed in the potential low-risk exposure is asked to:

 

• Self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for 10 days from potential exposure.
• Self-isolate immediately if symptoms develop.
• Seek testing if symptoms occur.
