Algoma Public Health is reporting nineteen (19) new cases of COVID-19 (#1,553 - #1,571) and a low-risk exposure

We are reporting nineteen (19) new cases of COVID-19 (#1,553 - #1,571):

• 16 – Sault Ste. Marie & Area
• 3 – Central and East Algoma 

The newly reported cases acquired their infection as follows:

• 8 - close contact of a confirmed case
• 3 - unknown source of infection
• 2 – international travel
• 6 - under investigation

There are currently 263 active cases.

If you were at the following stores/locations during the times listed above, you are asked to follow public health guidance.

• La Vie en Rose, Bootlegger, As Seen on TV, True Family Health, Ricardo’s Pizza, Food Court

 

Actions to take:

• Self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for 10 days from potential exposure.
• Self-isolate immediately if symptoms develop.
• Seek testing if symptoms occur.
