Algoma Public Health is reporting seven (7) new cases of COVID-19 (#1,631 - #1,637) and a low-risk exposure

We are reporting seven (7) new cases of COVID-19 (#1,631 - #1,637):

• 6 - Sault Ste. Marie & Area
• 1 - Central and East Algoma

 

The newly reported cases acquired their infection as follows:

• 2 - close contact of a confirmed case
• 4 - unknown source of infection
• 1 - under investigation

There are currently 228 active cases.

Passengers who sat in rows 6-10 and flight crew who served these rows should follow the below actions. 

 

Actions to take:

• Self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for 10 days from potential exposure.
• Self-isolate immediately if symptoms develop.
• Seek testing if symptoms occur.
