Algoma Public Health is reporting twenty (20) new cases of COVID-19 (#1,596 - #1,615) and three potential public exposures

We are reporting twenty (20) new cases of COVID-19 (#1,596 - #1,615):
- 15 – Sault Ste. Marie & Area
- 5 – Central and East Algoma
The newly reported cases acquired their infection as follows:
- 10 - close contact of a confirmed case
- 1 - unknown source of infection
- 1 - international travel
- 8 - under investigation
There are currently 247 active cases.

Actions to take:
Any individual who was present on the date and times listed in the potential high-risk exposure is asked to:
- Regardless of vaccination status, get tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible.
- If you are vaccinated, self-monitor for signs and symptoms.
- If you are not vaccinated, self-isolate immediately
