Algoma Public Health is reporting twenty-two (22) new cases of COVID-19 (#1,385 - #1,406), and a low-risk public exposure

We are reporting twenty-two (22) new cases of COVID-19 (#1,385 - #1,406):

 

• 20 – Sault Ste. Marie & Area
• 2 – Central and East Algoma

 

The newly reported cases acquired their infection as follows:

• 14 - close contact of a confirmed case
• 4 - unknown source of infection
• 3 - international travel
• 1 - under investigation

There are currently 258 active cases.

Low-risk exposure

New American, 602 Bay St, Sault Ste. Marie, ON

Time: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

 

Actions to take:

 

Any individual who was present on the date and times listed in the potential low-risk exposure is asked to:

• Self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for 10 days from potential exposure.
• Self-isolate immediately if symptoms develop.
• Seek testing if symptoms occur.
