    stressed compared to males (17.1%).

  • In Algoma, youth aged 10-19 years old are hospitalized for self-harm more often than any other age
    group.

  • Emergency department visits for eating disorders in Algoma increased 85% in 5 years, from 15.4 per
    100 000 to 28.5 per 100 000.

  • Emergency department visits for cannabis-related mental illness in Algoma (170.1 per 100 000) is more
    than double the provincial rate (82.8 per 100,000).
