SDWS Opening Notification Form
In accordance with Ontario Regulation 319/08: Small Drinking Water Systems under the Health Protection and Promotion Act, every owner, and every operator of a small drinking water system (SDWS) must notify Algoma Public Health of the intent to begin to supply water to the users of the system in the following circumstances:
- Re-opening after a closure period of more than 60 days (e.g., seasonal SDWS)
- Following construction, installation, alteration, or extension of the SDWS (e.g., new SDWS, alteration to
treatment system) - On the first day when a drinking water system subject to Ontario Regulation 170/03: Drinking Water Systems under the Safe Drinking Water Act stops being subject to that regulation and becomes subject to O. Reg 319/08 Small Drinking Water Systems
