Food Safety
Algoma Public Health's Environmental Health Department is responsible for the Food Safety Program, which is designed to protect the public through educational and enforcement strategies.
Public health Inspectors are responsible for carrying out the Food Safety Program. Our primary responsibility is to assess and inspect all food premises to ensure compliance with Ontario Regulation 493/17 under the Health Protection and Promotion Act.
