Mission:

The Breastfeeding Coalition’s mission is to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding in our community by fostering collaboration, providing education, and creating inclusive spaces where families feel empowered to reach their infant feeding goals.

Objectives

The Coalition will:

  • Support families to make informed decisions about infant feeding through community engagement, advocacy, and education.

  • Share breastfeeding resources, best practices, and evidence-based information among coalition members and partners.
  • Identify and address barriers to breastfeeding within the community.
  • Collaborate with health care providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to strengthen breastfeeding supports.
  • Promote inclusive, culturally safe, and family-centered practices.
